This level will be a machine pitch (formally coach pitch) and will be played very similarly to the midget level of the program. This program is aimed at bridging kids from the TBall level to midget level.
General Rules:

5 Innings
Outs will be kept
Players will receive a maximum five pitches from machine
*There will be an end of the year jamboree to showcase skills learned over the course of the season.
(May be eligible to play in Rookies with two (2) years of T-Ball experience or be a 1st grader)
Midget, Junior and Senior: Ballplayers are divided into three skill levels based upon their tryout scores.
- National teams are comprised of beginning level players
- American team members are at an intermediate level
- Federal teams are formed from the more experienced players
Tryouts are held in mid-March. At tryouts, players are divided into groups and run through a variety of drills to show their abilities in the areas of hitting, running, and catching and other areas. This gives the coaches an opportunity to assess each player's skill level. Teams are then formed by the coaches attending the tryouts. The CJB Board of Directors oversee's all tryouts and selections to make sure kids are put at the appropriate levels.
